At the epitome of Frustration

“Everybody is out to abuse and rape the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is mortgaged to money.”
– Dr. A. P. J. Kalam,
Former President Of India.
A formal mail sent to me just after the Jaipur blast yesterday which left over 50 people DEAD, over 100 grievously injured and a countless psychological injuries.
I am ashamed to type the words below but, after asking a few minutes of silence from my boss, I am compelled to get you readers through my angst towards everything after and before these blasts just to reason the foolish outlook of Indian thought.
India as such is a politically fuelled country. Every major decision passed in this country is deeply rooted right down to the vote bank. Please do not call me racist or anti-secularist but, there are some anti-Indian sentiments brewing under the political skin. Take SIMI, take politically fuelled naxalites, a emotionally burgeoned country just cannot afford to handle ethnically fuelled movements, however silent they may seem.
A point in the situation are the anti-Saddam-hanging riots taken place in various parts of the country. The childish and rioting objectives by the SP and the Congress were simply unacceptable though they were carried out in total public glory. The stand taken by the UPA, or the Congress in isolation has been a matter of total controversy since time immemorial. A point to my discussion:
1. 1993 Mumbai Blasts take place during the Congress regime.
2. 2006 Mumbai Blasts take place during the Congress regime.
3. UPA’s recent anti-nuclear stand.
There are umpteen unseen (or rather known but not stated here) events I can state of which invariably point fingers towards the Congress.
Please don’t brand me politically prejudiced as I am not in favor of BJP too, remember the Tehelka controversy? But, its this party that strikes my mind as the lesser of the two evils.
Believe it or not guys, the country is majorly run by hooligans and its us to make a change, if we can stand up and not be opportunist, we can slowly change the face of tomorrow.

Coming to the better reality, we bloggers and readers are relatively insulated from political mis-happenings due to our financial leverage and the populated security but, its these cities those are targeted by fundamentalists for damage. I don’t understand how is it gonna change the situation physically. It sure changes the situation economically. But not for a very long time.
Its time we take security measures in our own hands and by that I do not mean buying anti-smoke alarms and video security cameras for our houses, but to alert the nearest police personnel in physical terms if you see anything suspicious. And please, do not call the police in any case, it leads to hoax calls and all and makes the system even more redundant and incapable of handling real situations. And, please and I repeat please, do not raise alarms at the drop of a hat, we are not scared coward Americans.
No matter what you guys think, I am never gonna vote Congress whenever I get a chance to.

Now, coming to news-channels, CNN IBN is probably the worst channel when it comes to showcasing breaking news esp. with their female newsreaders/hosts. Juvenile reports jumping to mindless conclusions even before assessing the situation at hand. Agreed, the authoritarians will come under fire for any and every type of security lapse concerning events which can be showcased on the television. But, getting them to act as scapegoats by ‘evolved’ channels every single time seems totally amateurish.
On an ending quote,
"India's reforms are not just an economic issue. The country is forging a proudly democratic model of economic reforms. It is the kind of model that many developing countries, despairing that they do not have the dictatorship of China to force through difficult reforms, can hope to emulate."
Bruce Gilley
The Wall Street Journal

-I am sorry for the haphazard manner of the blog, its what came to my mind and is an instantaneous reaction.
